Quick start

  1. Describe the bolt.Enter its width, unusable edges, direction, and repeat.
  2. Add finished pieces.Use width, height, and optional quantity—for example, 60 45 2.
  3. Review the plan.Check the layout, exact length, reserve, and purchase rounding.

Common questions

Why was an input line ignored?

Each line needs a positive width and height, plus an optional whole-number quantity. The planner highlights the exact lines it cannot parse.

Why can a piece not fit?

Its cutting width may exceed the usable bolt width. Allowance, shrinkage, direction, and pattern matching can all affect whether it fits or rotates.

Where is my saved project?

The current project is stored in this browser on this device. Export a JSON backup before clearing site data, changing browsers, or moving to another device.

This version supports rectangles and straight repeats. Half-drop repeats, motif centering, curves, and bias cuts need manual review.
